Gear Review: 62″ phone tripod

Today we're looking at the collapsible 62" cell-phone tripod (purchased on Amazon for about $26). We used this tripod to capture our high point summit bids in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia and weren't disappointed.

I have to admit, my first impression was that this thing was heavier than I expected, but after hiking with it, I never noticed. It sets ups very easily and the bluetooth keyfob worked flawlessly on both Android and iPhone devices.

Keyfob with bluetooth power switch on the side. Simply connect and press the appropriate button and you capture images.

The top of the tripod has a standard 1/4"-20 male thread that will mount DSLRs or the included cell-phone holder. Before installing your phone, be sure to power on the keyfob and connect your phone over bluetooth.

1/4"-20 universal attachment for most cameras.
Included spring-loaded cell-phone attachment for Android or iPhone.

Once you attach the cell-phone holder to the tripod, simply hold open the clamp (spring-loaded) and insert your cell-phone. Adjust the stand to the desired height and rotation, and fire away from up to 30ft with the keyfob.

Overall Rating: A+
